Tech Snark

Tech Snark is a show about technology, pop culture and just being snarky. Wikipedia defines “Snark” as “a derivative word from snarky, ‘Irritable or short-tempered; irascible’ from Dutch and Low German snorken, of imitative origin.”

So basically we make fun of and give our opinions on all things going on in life - no holds barred.

Bio: Carolyn was born and raised on a farm - but prefers the city with its bright lights and its high-speed internet. Growing up on the Intellivision, then moving up to the NES, she started gaming at a young age. She’s also dabbled in tabletop gaming as well - and most recently can be cajoled into playing Munchkin or Trivial Pursuit.

Freeing herself from the chains of the countryside, Carolyn can be found roaming free on her wireless, high-speed, 802.11n connection in the city. Instead of World Peace, Carolyn desires a Nintendo Wii, a Mini Cooper S 5-speed and a free pass to be snarky to anyone in the world without reciprocity. Bio: Tara’s earliest video gaming memories are that of playing Pong in the family recreation room. Often seen sneaking off to the computer lab during study hall to play Lunar Lander and Missile Command, Tara was in denial of being a gamer until she became an MMORPG enthusiast in 1998. So what was the magical moment of self-understanding? She’ll tell you, “I was shopping for computer parts just so I could play Ultima Online better.”

She has been writing about online games and gamer culture since 2000. Her editorials and satire pieces are featured on the MMORPG satire & news site NotAddicted.com under the pseudonyms of Alihja, That One Guy, and a few others. Tara’s favorite MMORPGs of the moment are World of Warcraft, EverQuest 2, and GuildWars.
